IMCA Modifieds join March 2-3 Las Vegas World of Outlaws Nationals
at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway
LAS VEGAS
– IMCA Modifieds will compete on March 2 and 3 at The Dirt Track at Las
Vegas Motor Speedway as part of the Las Vegas World of Outlaws
Nationals Presented By J.D. Byrider.
A complete program – practice,
heat races, last-chance race and A-Feature – will be contested both
nights as The Dirt Track kicks off NASCAR Weekend at LVMS.
IMCA drivers will be competing for $500 to win and $50 to start each night's 20 lap A-Feature.
Wednesday, March 2 and Thursday, March 3
Noon – Pit gates open.
4 p.m. – Spectator gates open.
4:15-4:45 p.m. – World of Outlaws autograph session (on the midway).
4:30 p.m. – IMCA Modified pill draw and drivers’ meeting.
5 p.m. – IMCA Modified wheel-packing.
5:30 p.m. – World of Outlaws wheel-packing.
6 p.m. – World of Outlaws hot laps, qualifying.
6:45 p.m. – IMCA Modified hot laps.
7 p.m. – National anthem.
7:05 p.m.
World of Outlaws heat races.
IMCA Modified heat races (8 laps or 8 minutes).
World of Outlaws Dash.
World of Outlaws B-Feature.
IMCA Modified B-Feature (8 laps).
World of Outlaws A-Feature (30 laps).
IMCA Modified A-Feature (20 laps).

Payout per night, Wednesday and
Thursday, 20 lap A-Feature: 1) $500; 2) $300; 3) $250; 4) $200; 5) $150;
6) $125; 7) $100; 8) $75; 9-22) $50. No entry fee for car. Crew and
driver passes are $40 per night. Pill draw for heat races. Four heats of
approximately eight cars each. Six-to-eight laps per heat (with time
limit). The top finishers from each heat will transfer to the A-Feature.
Top two from the B-Feature transfer to the A-Feature. Transponders will
be used. Raceivers required. Event is sanctioned by the IMCA.
LVMS’s NASCAR Weekend begins
March 2 with two nights of World of Outlaws Sprint Car racing on the
half-mile Dirt Track before moving to the 1.5-mile superspeedway for
Stratosphere Pole Day on Friday, March 4, the Sam’s Town 300 NASCAR
Nationwide Series race on Saturday, March 5 and the Kobalt Tools 400 for
the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series on Sunday, March 4.
As part of its youth initiative,
LVMS is offering young race fans a 50-percent discount on tickets and
free admission to the fabulous Neon Garage fan experience (when
accompanied by an adult with a race ticket).
