Interesting article-only it's an opinion based article & not based on facts. Only the fans can fill the seats, buy the mechandise, & save the sport. Nascar grew rapidly over the last 10 years-attracting new people to the sport & adding seats @ old tracks & building new ones as fast as they could-leaveing the "original" die-hard Winston Cup Fans struggleing to afford race tickets & driver merchandise($30 for a hat.....WTF). The economy has turned south, the "NEWBIE" fans have bailed out,the stands have PLENTY of empty seats,& TV ratings are dropping every week. Between the rule changes of Nascar over the past few years & the recession in the USA.........NASCAR needs a survival plan to get the fans back to the tracks & in front of the TV's. I say-to the tracks-look @ the NHRA. Tickets are cheaper for a 3 day non-stop racing then for 4-5 hours of cup racing. The fans have access to the drivers & the pits for close interaction of the driver/fan relationship(have the "millionare" spoiled brats mingle with the fans, sign autographs, & promote there sponscer with the fans when there not on the track). They need to look @ the "cruise industry" when it comes to selling tickets-they practicly GIVE unsold tickets away to fill the ship-knowing they will make money on what they spend while on the ship(LOOK Track Owners-your ticket price goes down-but @ the same time you have more people buying concessions, souviners,& spending money @ your track!)-NOT to mention helping the local economy's around the tracks in this recession, which is FAR from over(ask your state Gov. for tax breaks to bring in the fans).1 (or 43) drivers can't bring the fans back to the sport-it will be a joint effort between NASCAR,drivers,Track Owners, & a strong economy to bring the fans back. Just my opionion thoughBig%20smile.

Do you really think Kyle Busch has time to sign autographs and mingle with the fans? After all, the fans come to see Kyle......................Kyle doesnt come to the track to see the fans. If you want an autograph go to see Jr.

I'm STILL laughing at the gumption of NASCAR to push a jerk like Kyle Busch as the salvation of NASCAR. The biggest impact of Kyle's lack of consideration for the fans is negative. Believe me, I listen to what folks say about Kyle, both positive (which there is very little) and negative (which there is a great deal). I don't disagree the kid has talent and a great deal of potential as a driver. However, he needs a good spankin to adjust his attitude.
Pablo42, if you had been the Kyle Busch fan who was standing next to me in the pits in Bristol I believe you would have an entirely different opinion of Kyle. Kyle was leaving the pits after practice and this guy asked Kyle for an autograph after telling him what a fan he was of Kyle. Kyle shot his elbow into the guys face and kept walking. I mean, what an arrogant little twit! No, he won't be the salvation of NASCAR with his current attitude!

Yukon,
Im not at the track to get autographs.Im there for Kyle to kick some butt.  As for the autograph seeker Im sure Kyle was in a big hurry heading over to Delana's hauler.Wasnt Kevin practicing at that very moment. You should know about meeting up with a HOTT lady.Isnt your wife  Wink HOTTT!
Guys its very simple............if you want KING KYLE OR KING KURTS autograph send your diecast to their garage. I have sent about 30 diecast to both of the KINGS  they return them within 3 weeks.

NASCAR has needed a villan for quite a while.  Between him and Keselowski, maybe Montoya they have enough different controversial personalities to piss everyone off.  That emotion is what is needed in the Jimmy Johnson flavor of Nascar.  Even Tony Stewart is acting nice lately... bummer

Hey pab, did Lil Kyle break your diecasts into a million pieces so you could share them. He probably has someone do his autograghs for him. I imagine one hour every two weeks would give someone plenty of time.

I don't know what it is going to take to save NASCAR. I hate Kyle as much as most of you. But people love to hate people. Maybe, just maybe there is a point here? Kyle will never get the fans to like him. Even if he gets a better attitude, its gonna be fake like Kurt. Kyle has all the talent in the world, and I can't think of a bigger chear at the races as when he is in the wall. All those at the Bristol Nationwide fall race can back me up on that. Pretty sure there were more people on there feet at that moment than any other all weekend. Again, just an opinion.
TURN RIGHT TONY!!!!!
